Biden said he did not regret the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. He said the US would continue to provide air support, food, equipment, and salaries to the Afghan military. Despite that, the US spent more than $1 trillion in Afghanistan over 20 years and lost thousands of soldiers.

The US President said that we have trained more than 3 lakh soldiers of Afghan forces. Now he has to take responsibility. Biden has ordered the withdrawal of all US troops from the war-torn country by September 11. The Pentagon said that more than 90% of the soldiers have returned home from there so far.

Within 5 days the Taliban captured five provincial capitals. It now occupies Kunduz, Sar-i-Pol, and Talokan in the north. These cities are the capitals of the provinces of their own name. The Taliban have captured Zaranj, the capital of Nimroz province bordering Iran in the south. He now also rules Shabarghan, the capital of Nowzhan province, bordering Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

Kabul is also not safe, Taliban attacks continue

Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, is safer than other parts of the country, but last Wednesday, Taliban suicide fighters targeted the defense minister's house in a very audacious attack in Kabul. Eight civilians were killed and dozens injured in the attack. This was the Taliban's biggest attack on Kabul in the past year.
