Angered by not paying attention to studies during online classes, a mother killed her three-and-a-half-year-old son with a pillow. After this, when he repented, he hanged himself. According to the Nashik police, the incident took place at the Sai Siddhi Apartment in the Pathardi Phata area. The body of 30-year-old Shikha Sagar Pathak was found hanging on Monday night at around 9:30 pm. He wrote in the suicide note that no one should be held responsible for these two deaths.
The woman did not clearly mention in the suicide note that she had killed the son. However, the bodies of both were inside the room. The room was locked from outside and the child's nose was bleeding. The woman's parents have also confirmed the murder of their grandson.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sohail Shaikh, who is probing the case, said that Shikha had killed her son by burying her face with a pillow around 5 pm on Monday. A case of murder and suicide has been registered in this case.
Earlier on July 30, a 15-year-old girl allegedly strangled her mother to death with a karate belt in Navi Mumbai. An official of the Rabale police station said that the girl and her mother (40) used to have frequent fights as the woman wanted her daughter to pursue medical studies, but the daughter was refusing to do so. The girl has been arrested.
