According to research, a new simplified antibody test system for the COVID-19 has been developed. This system developed by scientists can be used in labs where adequate means of commercial medical centers are not available. According to researchers at the University of North Carolina in the US, a widely applicable test is needed to understand the rate of infection. The research was published in the journal Science Immunology.

How Virus Enters Human Body:

It referred to a new blood test that attacks the immune system's molecules called antibodies, and it attacks the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 'of the novel coronavirus. This particular and specific protein present on the virus is called the receptor-binding domain (RBD) which allows the virus to enter the cells of the human body. According to the researchers, their RBD-based antibody test can measure the level of these proteins. Other researchers, including a researcher at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in the US, have made this discovery.

According to Research:

In research published in the journal PNAS, scientists have claimed that the SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV viruses enter the human body using ACE2 receptor proteins as a gateway. Earlier, many tests and research were done to understand the entry of this deadly virus.
