Ban of PFI: The Modi government at the Center has banned PFI and its allies for five years. After the ban, the question is arising that what were the reasons, after all, why PFI has been banned?
The PFI is said to be linked to SIMI (Students' Islamic Movement of India), an organization already banned in India, as well as to Al-Qaeda.
Giving the reason for the ban, the government said that PFI has been a supporter of terrorism in the country.
PFI was involved in illegal activities which could threaten the security of the country. This organization could disturb communal harmony and peace in the country.
The founding members of the PFI are leaders of the banned terrorist organization SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India) and associated with Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
The PFI is associated with global terrorist organizations such as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
PFI promotes radicalization and insecurity in the country.
PFI is getting funds from abroad for terrorist activities, which threatens India's security.
UP, Karnataka and Gujarat demanded a ban on PFI.
The founding members of PFI were associated with SIMI i.e. Students Islamic Movement of India. SIMI is a banned terrorist organization, which was formed in April 1977 in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
PFI was founded in 2006 after SIMI was banned by the Government of India for its involvement in terrorist activities in 2001.
A day before the ban, former Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi had claimed that the PFI is the representative of the ISI in India, and a shadow of Al-Qaeda.
PFI's policies are against the country, humanity and nature. This organisation wants to break the country and disturb peace and harmony. Strict action should be taken against PFI.
