The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has once again taken major action against the Popular Front of India (PFI). The investigating agency has conducted raids in 8 states including Delhi. According to the sources, 170 people have been detained.
According to the information, NIA took action on Tuesday morning in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Assam, Karnataka, Telangana and Maharashtra.
The investigating agency was informed about the violent protests, after which major action was taken. Raids have also been conducted in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh area.

Raids are being conducted at Shaheen Bagh, Nizamuddin West, Bhogal, Okhla, and Trans Yamuna in Delhi. The Special Cell, Special Branch and local police of Delhi Police have so far detained around 30 people.
In Shaheen Bagh, paramilitary forces, along with the local police, are doing rounds in the entire area.
Recently, NIA and ED took joint action and arrested many PFI leaders. The action was taken under Operation Octopus.
This action was being monitored by 300 NIA officers. There is a big allegation of involvement in terrorist activities against this organization.
Recently, NIA, ED and state police of some states conducted raids at 93 places in 15 states in a terror funding case.
There were inputs of PFI leaders being involved in financing terrorism and terrorist activities and radicalizing the people. On this basis, action has been taken against them.
