
On Saturday i.e. April 29, a tragic road accident in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district claimed the lives of two Army jawans, while three others sustained injuries.
According to officials, an ambulance belonging to the force met with the accident when it skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge. The news agency PTI reported the incident.
According to officials, the Army ambulance met with the accident near Dungi Gala, close to the Line of Control, when the driver lost control of the vehicle while navigating a sharp curve.
Sadly, the driver and a soldier lost their lives in the mishap. As per the officials' statements, rescuers retrieved their bodies from the gorge where the ambulance had fallen.
An unfortunate incident took place in December of last year, where 16 Army soldiers lost their lives while four others sustained injuries.
The accident occurred when their vehicle skidded down a steep slope near North Sikkim.
The ill-fated vehicle was part of a three-vehicle convoy that had departed from Chatten in the morning and was headed towards Thangu.
However, at Zema en route, the accident took place, resulting in the tragic loss of lives, as per reports.
