Speed Limit on Yamuna Expressway: If you are also planning to go on Yamuna Expressway, then this news is important for you. The Yamuna Expressway Authority has made preparations to curb the speed of vehicles on the Yamuna Expressway.

This ban will continue on Yamuna Expressway from 15 December to 15 February. As soon as the winter season comes, the cases of accidents due to fog have started increasing and for this reason, the authority has decided to limit the speed of vehicles on the Yamuna Expressway.

What will be the speed limit on Yamuna Expressway now?

From December 15, heavy vehicles will run at a speed of 60 km per hour instead of 80 km per hour on the Yamuna Expressway.

At the same time, light vehicles will run at a speed of 80 kilometres per hour instead of 100 km per hour. This restriction on speed will continue till February 15.

Giving information, Dr Arun Veer Singh, CEO of Yamuna Authority said that every year the speed is reduced to prevent accidents on the Yamuna Expressway.

This time also the speed has been reduced so that accidents can be prevented.

Action will be taken against those driving at more than this speed and their challans will be cut.

Accidents have come down to 50 per cent

It is being told that there has been a decrease in accidents by 50 percent on the Yamuna Expressway as compared to earlier

The Yamuna Authority had got a survey of the expressway done by the team of IIT Delhi and in the report, it was advised to get some work done on the expressway.

On the instructions of the Yamuna Authority, work has been done on the expressway by Jaypee Group.

After this, the difference is also clearly visible and there has been a decrease in accidents on the expressway.
