After 2 years of the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty once again fall under the scrutiny of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) when the Anti-Drugs organisation issued a charge sheet on Wednesday that Rhea along with 35 others involved in the alleged purchase and sell of the different types of drugs.
In a statement by the NCB, it is reported that she along with his brother Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant, and others purchased the drugs and handed them over to the late actor Sushant.
The agency had filed a charge against the 35 accused including the actor last month in the special NCB court in their link to the drugs case and the details of that report were revealed on Monday.
The charge that was produced by NCB included the trafficking, consumption, and selling of types of drugs like ganja (weed), cocaine, charas, and several other human-affecting drugs.
According to the reports, these accused were involved in these criminal activities from March 2020 and December 2020 and were tied in person or in groups as drug buyers, consumers, selling, and distribution in bulk in high-societies and Bollywood industry in the Metropolitan city of Mumbai.
If convicted, they will be behind the bars for not less than 10 to 20 years confirmed.
The report also added, “They are charged under the various provisions of NDPS act that included section 27 and 27-A which comprised of illegally purchasing and selling and harboring the criminals, section 28 for indulging into the criminal offenses, and section 29 for being the third party to criminals.”
Rhea Chakraborty, who is identified as the 10th accused was in regular touch with the illegal drug peddlers and received deliveries of ganja from his brother Showik, another accused Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant, and many others and handed them over to Sushant Singh Rajput.
Not just that, she made payments too by herself for all those deliveries which were subject to the late actor.
It was noted that Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his home on June 14, 2020. He was found hanging with the ceiling fan. After 3 months, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by NCB following the charges on her as an accused drug consumer for Sushant. However, she was granted bail after one month only.
