Baramulla Encounter: LeT's top terrorist commander Yousuf Kantroo was killed in the Pariswani area of ​​the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. He was involved in several killings of civilians and security forces personnel including the recent killing of an SPO and his brother, a soldier and a civilian in Budgam district.

A joint operation of Budgam Police and Army was carried out. IGP Kashmir Vijay says that a large number of weapons have also been recovered from the encounter site.

Two terrorists were killed in Tral

Earlier on April 6, two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Awantipora's Tral area. According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH) terrorist Safat Muzaffar Sofi alias Muawiyah and Lashkar terrorist Umar Teli alias Talha were killed in Tral.

Both the terrorists were involved in several terror crimes in Srinagar, including the recent killing of Sarpanch (Sameer Ahmed) in Khanmoh Srinagar.

Baramulla Encounter: Strict action is being taken against terrorists

In recent days, strict action is being carried out against the terrorists. Experts say that now better information is being received from the ground. Terrorist incidents in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir are the result of despair.

Now terrorist networks are not as strong as before. It has helped a lot in breaking the back of terrorists. If Home Minister Amit Shah says that terrorism will be completely eradicated from the state in the coming two to three years, then he seems closer to the truth.

Baramulla Encounter: Minor injuries to three soldiers

The officer further said that the operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. The security forces also responded appropriately to the terrorists' firing. Kashmir's Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar tweeted that three soldiers suffered minor injuries in the initial firing.
