Jammu and Kashmir: On Saturday morning, there were reports of encounters from Kulgam and Anantnag. According to the security forces, Lashkar in Anantnag and Jaish insiders were cordoned off in Kulgam. It is now being told that in Anantnag, the security forces killed Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Nisar Dar. Amidst all this, the encounter is going on in Chaki Samad in the DH Pora area of Kulgam. Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist is hiding here. The search operation is still going on in the area.
Earlier it was reported that an encounter is going on between terrorists and security forces in the Sirhama area of Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. It is being told that the news of the hiding of terrorists was received in the area, after which a search operation was conducted here. During the search operation, firing was done by the terrorists, after which the encounter started. In this encounter, Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Nisar Dar was killed by the security forces.
According to media reports, an encounter is going on in the Sirhama area of the Anantnag district. Still, the sound of firing is being heard here. Police and security forces are carrying out the operation. The Internet has been suspended in some parts of Anantnag as a precautionary measure.
An official said that after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists, the security forces started a search operation by cordoning off the Shirahama area of the Anantnag district. He told that during this the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, to which the force also gave a befitting reply and due to this the operation turned into an encounter.
On 6 April, two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Tral area of Awantipora. According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH) terrorist Safat Muzaffar Sofi and Lashkar terrorist Umar Teli were killed in Tral. Both were involved in several terror crimes in Srinagar city, including the recent murder of Sarpanch (Sameer Ahmad) in Khanmoh Srinagar.
