Murder of Rahul Bhat: Protests continue against the murder of Kashmiri Pandit and government employee Rahul Bhat of Chadoora tehsil office. On Monday, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha met Kashmiri Pandits and expressed condolences and assured them of redressal of their grievances. Talking to news agency ANI, a local said that the LG assured us that he would look into our complaints.
According to government officials, LG Manoj Sinha visited Sheikh Pura in Budgam to meet the associates of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat and Kashmiri Pandit employees protesting against the Prime Minister's relief package and expressed his condolences.
Officials said that LG Manoj Sinha assured justice in the matter and prompt resolution of their grievances.
At the same time, after meeting LG Manoj Sinha, Kashmiri Pandit employees said that the talks will continue. Along with this, they said that the demand for shifting to safer places outside the Kashmir Valley, till the demand is not fulfilled, we will not join duty.
Our protest will continue. Tuesday is the 13th day of protests against the killings of Kashmiri Pandits in the Kashmir Valley.
Rahul Bhat was shot dead by terrorists in his office on May 12 this month. At the same time, after the protest against the murder of Rahul Bhat, the Jammu and Kashmir government formed a special investigation team to investigate the murder.
LG Manoj Sinha announced that the Jammu and Kashmir administration will provide a government job to Rahul Bhat's wife in Jammu and financial assistance to their family.
After the assassination of Rahul Bhat, Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha met Bhat's family and assured them of justice. Also, Manoj Sinha had said that terrorists and their supporters will have to pay a very heavy price for this murder.
