India's COVID-19 Update: In a recent update, India witnessed the detection of 310 fresh cases of coronavirus infection within a span of 24 hours.
The number of active cases has also dropped below the significant milestone of 5,000, now standing at 4,709, as reported by the Union Health Ministry.
These figures highlight a positive trend in the battle against the ongoing pandemic.
With these newly reported infections, the total tally of COVID-19 cases in the country has reached a substantial 4.49 crore (4,49,90,054).
According to the ministry, the number of deaths has risen to 531,866, including two recent fatalities.
Currently, active cases constitute only 0.01 percent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at an impressive 98.80 per cent.
The tally of recovered individuals from the disease has witnessed a significant surge, reaching 444,534,479.
The case fatality rate stands at 1.18 per cent. Moreover, the nationwide vaccination drive has successfully administered a remarkable count of 2,206.6 million doses of the Covid vaccine in the country.
