COVID-19 Update: According to a statement from the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday, India has seen a significant increase in the number of daily Covid-19 cases.
Over the last 24 hours, the country has reported 9,629 new infections, raising concerns about the pandemic's trajectory.
As per the latest data from the Health Ministry, the Covid-19 death toll in India has increased to 5,31,398, with 29 fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours.
Among the 29 deaths, Delhi accounted for six, while Maharashtra and Rajasthan reported three each.
Additionally, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh had two each, and Odisha, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh had one each. It is worth noting that Kerala has reconciled ten deaths.
The Health Ministry continues to closely monitor the pandemic's trajectory and urges the public to remain vigilant and adhere to all Covid-19 safety protocols to help contain the spread of the virus.
Out of the total Covid-19 cases in India, the number of active cases is currently 61,013, which represents only 0.14% of the total caseload.
In the last 24 hours, 11,967 people in India have recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 4,43,23,045. The national recovery rate now stands at an impressive 98.68%, with a case fatality rate of 1.18%.
On April 25, India reported 6,660 new Covid-19 cases, which was a decrease from the 7,178 cases reported the previous day. However, on April 23, there were 10,112 cases reported, indicating a fluctuating trend.
Overall, the Health Ministry continues to monitor the Covid-19 situation in India and urges the public to remain vigilant and follow all necessary safety protocols to help prevent the spread of the virus.
