COVID-19 Update: On Monday, India recorded 4,282 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of active cases to 47,246.
According to the latest data from the Health Ministry, the active cases decreased by more than 1,750. Unfortunately, the death toll has risen to 5,31,547 with 14 new fatalities.
The day before, India had reported 5,874 new COVID-19 cases, with the total number of active cases standing at 49,015.
On Monday, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 4.92%, and the weekly positivity rate was at 4.00%.
According to the health ministry website, the total number of COVID-19 cases in India has reached 4.49 crore (4,49,49,671).
Currently, active cases account for 0.11% of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.71%.
As per the health ministry's website, the number of individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 has risen to 4,43,70,878, with a case fatality rate of 1.18%.
The nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive has administered 220.66 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the country thus far.
