Ram Navami Violence: The celebration of Ram Navami was marred by incidents of violence in various states on Thursday i.e. March 30.

According to reports, in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, a mob attacked police officers the day after two groups had a clash in the same area.

Similarly, stones were thrown at a Ram Navami procession in Gujarat's Vadodara city.

In West Bengal's Howrah district, a Ram Navami procession was targeted with stone pelting, leading to the destruction of several vehicles by fire.

According to a police officer, the incident happened while the procession was passing through the Kazipara locality, as reported by the news agency PTI.

West Bengal's Dalkhola city also witnessed violence on Thursday during the Ram Navami celebration.

A clash between two communities resulted in one person's death and several injuries, including police personnel.

At the same time, BJP leader Amit Malviya blamed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the violence in Howrah.

Stone pelting targets Ram Navami processions in Vadodara

Two Ram Navami processions in Gujarat's Vadodara city were targeted with stone pelting, resulting in injuries to several individuals.

In Fatehpura's Panjrigar mohalla, the first incident occurred in the afternoon, while the second incident took place in nearby Kumbharwada in the evening.

24 people have been detained for allegedly throwing stones.

The incident was captured on video, which shows some individuals throwing stones from rooftops at the Ram Navami procession. In the video, police can be seen attempting to manage and resolve the situation.

Violence erupts in Maharashtra

A clash erupted between two individuals outside a Ram temple in the Kiradpura area of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar in Maharashtra's Aurangabad district on Wednesday night.

The situation escalated as more people arrived at the scene and began pelting stones, leading to the destruction of several public and police vehicles near the temple.

After a clash between two groups, a mob of approximately 500 individuals threw stones and petrol-filled bottles as police personnel attempted to restore order.

The violence resulted in the injury of 12 people, including 10 police officers.

On Thursday, violence also erupted in Maharashtra's Jalgaon district, as two groups clashed over playing music.

The Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, who also serves as the state's Home Minister, expressed his disappointment over the incident and cautioned political parties against politicizing the violent clashes.

Devendra Fadnavis expressed his disappointment over the incident that occurred in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and stated that efforts are being made to ensure peace in the area.

He further cautioned against the use of inflammatory language by certain individuals who are attempting to disturb the situation.
