COVID-19 Update: Recent COVID-19 Deaths

As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare report, the last 24 hours have seen the unfortunate demise of 5 individuals due to COVID-19 infection.

Kerala recorded 2 fatalities, while Maharashtra, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu each reported the loss of 1 patient's life during this period.

From the commencement of 2020 until now, over 4.5 crore individuals have contracted the coronavirus nationwide, resulting in more than 5.3 lakh fatalities.

According to the Health Ministry's website, the number of individuals who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4.4 crores. The national recovery rate stands at 98.81 per cent, while the mortality rate is 1.19 per cent.

As per the ministry, a total of 220.67 crores vaccine doses have been administered under the ongoing COVID-19 vaccination campaign in the country.

Signs and Symptoms of COVID-19 Include:

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Loss of smell or taste

  • Diarrhea
