Mithali Raj, captain and star player of the Indian women's ODI cricket team, has expressed her great desire before her retirement. Mithali, who has played five World Cups, first participated in this big tournament as a young player in the year 2000. Under her captaincy, the Indian team also made it to the finals in 2005 and 2017. Although she never won the title.

Mithali, the female cricketer who has scored the most runs in ODI cricket, has now expressed her desire to win the World Cup at the last stage of her career. In an interview to a news channel, Mithali said that the Women's World Cup to be held in New Zealand in 2021 would be her last World Cup and she wanted to make it memorable with a win.

Mithali, who retired from international T20 cricket last year, said, "The 2021 world-class competition will obviously be my last World Cup and I hope India lift the trophy. The victory of the World Cup will inspire many more young girls. Hopefully, the team will go one step ahead."
