Medicine will be given to patients for 5 days instead of 6 days

The Health Ministry has issued new guidelines for the treatment of patients infected with the coronavirus. Under this, the dose of remedesvir, an effective drug in the treatment of corona, has been reduced and this medicine will be given to patients for 5 days instead of 6 days.

Medicine will be given to the patients in the form of injections

Remedesvir is an anti-viral drug and is given to patients infected corona. On Friday, the Union Health Ministry issued new guidelines in this regard. The new protocol of the Ministry of Health says that this medicine will be given to the patients in the form of injections. On the first day, the patient will be given a 200 mg dose of Remdesvir in the form of injections, after which the dose of 100-100 mg will be given to the patient for the next four days.

On 13 June, the Ministry of Health had allowed Remedesivir to be used. The Ministry of Health had then approved the use of Remdesvir in an emergency situation under limited use. However, this medicine is not to be given to people suffering from kidney, liver diseases, pregnant women, lactating women and children below 12 years.

The Ministry of Health has also advised about hydroxychloroquine. It stated that the use of this medicine should be in the early stages of the disease. The Ministry has said that this medicine should not be given to a seriously ill person.

COVID-19 cases in India

According to the Union Health Ministry, 22,771 new coronavirus cases have come in the country during the last 24 hours i.e. from 8 am Friday to 8 am Saturday. Now the total coronavirus cases in the country have increased to 6, 48,315. Whereas, out of the total 6, 48,315 coronavirus cases in the country, there are only 2, 35,433 active cases.

However, within the last 24 hours, there are 14,335 people in the country who have completely recovered from the coronavirus. The number of people who have been cured after defeating the coronavirus in the country has increased to 3, 94,226. The recovery rate of coronavirus in the country has also reached close to 61 percent.
