Indian Air Force Day: The Indian Air Force was first established on 8th October 1932 as an auxiliary force to the British Air force, which was later honoured as an Indian fleet for the security of the nation.

Its first batch of aircraft came on 1st April 1933, with six RAF- trained officers. RAF training is a kind of basic training required for each individual officer in the army.

The first flight flew in the year 1938 to support the army operation mission against insurgent Bhittani tribesmen.

Subroto Mukerjee was one of the Royal Air Force members who was later selected in the Indian Air Force and served the nation for a whole of 32 years of the time period.
