Sidhu Moose Wala Murder Case: The gangster Lawrence Bishnoi lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail, allegedly involved in the Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, is fearful of being killed in a fake encounter.
On Monday, he had applied to Delhi's Patiala House Court to increase his security. The trial court on Tuesday refused to hear his plea seeking a direction from the Punjab Police not to grant him custody in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. After this, he approached the High Court.
In the petition filed in the lower court of Delhi, Patiala House Court, it has been said on behalf of the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi lodged in Tihar Jail that there is a threat to his life.
Bishnoi's lawyer has expressed apprehension that after taking Lawrence into custody for questioning, Punjab Police may conduct a fake encounter or the rival gang may attack him.
Explaining both those reasons in the court, Lawrence's lawyer has demanded increased security.
On Tuesday, the trial court rejected the plea of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, in which he had sought a direction not to send himself to the custody of the Punjab Police. After the lower court rejected the petition, he approached the Delhi High Court.
