According to data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 18,552 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, while 384 people have died. After this, the total number of corona positive cases across the country has increased to 5,08,953, of which 1,97,387 are active cases, 2,95,881 people have been cured or discharged from hospital and 15,685 people have died so far.

Around 80 lakh samples have been tested across the country so far:

According to data released by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total number of samples tested for coronavirus across the country as of June 26 is 79,96,707. The number of samples tested in the last 24 hours is 2,20,479.

New system of reporting COVID-19 deaths will introduce in Mumbai from July 1:

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that a new system of reporting deaths will be introduced from July 1. Hospitals will have to provide information about deaths from Corona directly on Google form. The nodal officers of the hospital have been instructed to ensure reports of deaths in their hospitals within 48 hours from July 1.

273 new cases in Assam:

As of Friday, 273 new cases of corona were reported in Assam. The total number of corona cases in the state now stands at 6,919. Of these, 4,247 patients have been cured, while 2,660 are active cases and nine people have died.
