Coronavirus figures are increasing rapidly across the country. In view of Corona's increasing outbreak, the International Commercial Passenger Services has been suspended till July 15. The DGCA has issued a notification on Friday banning international travel till July 15.
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had clarified that if the pace of the coronavirus infection remains predictable, then it can be decided in July when international flights should be opened. However, Corona continues to wreak havoc. In such a situation, the international travel ban has been extended until 15 July.
There were increasing inquiries regarding the resumption of international passenger flights from India. Then Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri had tweeted, saying, we are constantly monitoring the situation. As soon as the situation is a bit normal and our citizens face no danger, then we will consider resuming international flights. Also, he said that we will also have to see whether the countries we intend to fly are open to foreign citizens or not.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday morning, 17296 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours i.e. from 8 am on Thursday till 8 am on Friday, which is the highest number of cases reported in a single day. According to the Health Ministry, after the 17296 new cases that came in 24 hours, the total number of coronavirus cases across the country has increased to 4,90,401.
Globally, the total cases have crossed 97.11 lakh figure and more than 4.91 lakh people have also died. However, more than 52.47 lakh coronavirus patients have been cured all over the world. The highest number of cases of coronavirus in the world are in the US, where more than 2.5 million cases have been reported and more than 1.26 lakh people have died so far, followed by more than 12.33 lakh cases in Brazil and more than 55 thousand people have lost their lives, whereas, 6.13 lakh cases have also been reported in Russia.
