During the last 24 hours, record new cases have been registered again across the country. According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 34884 new coronavirus cases have been reported across the country from 8 am Friday to 8 am Saturday and the total number of corona cases in the country has increased to 10, 38,716.
With the increasing infection of Coronavirus, the numbers of people who are losing their lives due to it is are also increasing continuously. During the last 24 hours, 668 people have died due to coronavirus across the country. Till now this deadly virus has lead to 26,273 deaths across the country.
However, the numbers of people recovering from the coronavirus in the country are also increasing rapidly. The recovery rate remains above 63 percent. During the last 24 hours, 17,994 people have been cured by coronavirus across the country. Till date 6, 53,750 people have been cured in this country.
Record testing is being done to identify corona patients in the country and millions of tests are being conducted daily. On Friday, more than 3.61 lakh tests have been conducted across the country, which is the highest number of corona tests conducted in a single day. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), more than 1.34 crore tests have been conducted in the country so far. India is the largest testing country in the world after USA and Russia.
Speaking of coronavirus cases globally, the total number of cases worldwide has crossed 11.4 million mark. So far more than 5.99 lakh people have died due to coronavirus worldwide. However, more than 84.55 lakh coronavirus patients have been cured all over the world. The highest numbers of cases of coronavirus in the world are in the United States, where more than 37.70 lakh cases have been reported and more than 1.42 lakh people have died. Followed by Brazil with more than 20.48 lakh cases and 77 thousand deaths. In Russia too, more than 7.59 lakh cases have been reported and more than 12 thousand people have lost their lives.
