ICMR has issued a three-page advisory

ICMR has issued a three-page advisory. In this, it has been told on the first page what to do with what kind of patient. If the test is being done at home ie a rapid antigen test has been done and its report has come positive, then give information about it. If the report has come negative, then it has to be seen what are the symptoms in the patient. If there is a cold cough, fever and sore throat, then definitely his sample should be sent again for testing. For such types of people, an RT-PCR test is necessary. Infected people admitted to the hospital will be examined only once a week.

No need to test all people

There will be no corona test for those people who do not have any symptoms of Covid 19. There is no need to test all the people who come in contact with the corona infected unless they are in the high-risk zone. That is, the age of the person coming in contact is very old or they are suffering from some serious disease. According to the Home Isolation Guidelines, there is no need for a corona test even for those declared discharged. Under the new guidelines of Corona, there is no need for corona examination of people who have been discharged from the Covid care centers as well as those who have travelled from one state to another in the country.

Highlights of the advisory

  • The test will be done only by RT-PCR, Truenat, CBNAAT, CRISPR, RT-LAMP, Rapid Molecular System or Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) method.

  • There will be no need to get tested again after the Point of Care Test (self-tested at home / Rapid Antigen Test) and Molecular Test.
