The situation of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in Pakistan has become explosive. There have been 28,344 tests done in the last 24 hours and 6,397 new cases have been reported. This is the highest number of cases in a single day. At the same time, 107 infected patients died. According to the Ministry of Health, 1,25,933 cases have been reported in the country so far while 40,247 patients have been recovered.

At the same time, Imran Khan's government is going to present the budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year in Parliament today. Earlier on Thursday, the Economic Review said that the country's gross domestic product (GDP) has fallen by 0.38 percent. Authorities blamed the Coronavirus outbreak for this. According to the news agency PTI, Economic Affairs Adviser, Dr. Abdul Hafid Sheikh released the Economic Survey on Thursday, saying that the economy of Pakistan has suffered a loss of more than Rs 3 trillion due to Coronavirus.

MP's attendance expected to be less:

However, the presence of MPs is expected to be low when presenting the budget. Several MPs have been infected with Corona, including Shahbaz Sharif, brother of former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and leader of the opposition. Apart from Shahbaz, several leaders including former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed have been found infected with Corona while, four MPs, including a provincial minister, have died due to Corona in the country.

Coronavirus cases in Pakistan:

According to the news agency PTI, the maximum number of 47,382 cases of coronavirus has been reported in Punjab province so far. In addition, 46,828 cases have been reported in Sindh, 15,787 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 7,673 in Balochistan, 6,699 in Islamabad, 1,030 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 534 in Ghulam Kashmir (PoK).
