Adani Green Energy Limited has started operation of the first capacity of the world's largest renewable energy project. Operation of only 551 MW capacity has been started in this plant built in Khavra, Gujarat.

After this information given by the company today i.e. on Wednesday (February 14), there was a rise in the shares of Adani Green Energy. The stock rose more than 4% to Rs 1,882 during trading. However, at the close of trading its shares closed at Rs 1,853.80 with a rise of 2.11%.

The world's largest renewable energy project is spread over 726 square kilometers. This will generate 30 GW of clean energy and provide electricity to about 1.8 crore houses. The Indian government estimates that it will cost at least $2.26 billion.

First capacity of world's largest renewable energy project started: Gautam Adani

Gautam Adani shared the post on X and wrote, 'It is a pleasure to share that Adani Green has started the first capacity of the world's largest renewable energy project by activating 551 MW solar power.

This is a testament to our collective dream of sustainability. This milestone marks the beginning of our journey towards a 30 GW green energy plant. This highlights the important role of India in the global shift towards green energy. Jai Hind.'

Milestone achieved within 12 months

In a BSE filing, Adani Green Energy said the company has achieved the milestone within 12 months of starting work on the Khavra RE Park. This includes development of basic infrastructure including roads and connectivity.

The company said, 'AGEL transformed the challenging and barren terrain of the Rann of Kutch into a livable environment for its 8,000 workforce. AGEL has planned to develop 30 GW renewable energy project in this RE Park.

This planned capacity is expected to be operational in the next five years. When the plan is completed, Khavra RE Park will be the world's largest renewable energy installation.

There is no competitor in the world's clean energy sector

The company said, 'Developing large-scale renewable projects requires a strong supply chain network and technical skills along with proven expertise. “AGEL has met all these requirements and built this record-setting gigascale plant, which has no competitor in the world's clean energy sector.”

The Adani Group company said the region has one of the best wind and solar resources in the country, making it ideal for giga-scale RE development. The company said, 'AGEL conducted a complete study and used several innovative solutions to accelerate the development of the plant.'
