On the 91st birth anniversary of former Chief Minister Late Bhajanlal, who was the focal point of the politics of Haryana for a long time, his life-size statue will be installed in Adampur. Rahul Gandhi will unveil this statue through video conferencing. This is the first time that after 10 years of Bhajanlal's death, his first statue is being installed in the state.

The statue being installed by All India Bishnoi Mahasabha is the beginning of this phase. A total of 16 such statues of Bhajanlal are going to hold Bishnoi meetings in different parts of the country. In this program to be held in Adampur today, Kuldeep Bishnoi, the younger son of late Bhajan Lal, has also made full preparations to strengthen his political legacy and for the same reason, the statue is being unveiled by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Haryana Congress in charge of Vivek Bansal and many other leaders will be present in today's program.

No government institution

Bhajanlal is the only leader of the state who has been the Chief Minister of the state for the longest time, yet there is no statute of him anywhere, there is no government institution or memorial in his name anywhere. No chowk, college, park, etc. have even been named after Bhajan Lal.

Bhajan Lal, who started with Sarpanch, was the Chief Minister 

Bhajan Lal was born on 6 October 1930 in the house of Khairaj in a farmer Bishnoi family of Koranwali village in the princely state of Bahawalpur, which is now in Pakistan. After partition, his family settled in the Khajuri village of Fatehabad. Bhajan Lal was married to Jasmadevi, So with whom he has two sons Chandra Mohan Bishnoi and Kuldeep Bishnoi, and a daughter Roshni. After farming in the village for some time Bhajanlal worked as a trader in Adampur town and later entered politics from Adampur (assembly constituency).

Chief Minister of the state for 13 years

After being elected as Panch in Adampur Panchayat, Bhajan Lal reached the post of Chief Minister. While traveling to the village Sarpanch and Block and was the Chief Minister of the state for 13 years in three terms. The record of the remaining Chief Minister for the maximum time in the state is in the name of Bhajan Lal. For the first time from 28 June 1979 to 5 July 1985, So twice and for the third time from 23 July 1991 to 11 May 1996, Bhajan Lal was the Chief Minister of the state. Bhajanlal had passed away on 3 June 2011 in Hisar due to a heart attack.

Bhupinder Singh Hooda as the Chief Minister

Serious differences emerged in the state unit after the victory of Congress in the 2005 assembly elections in Haryana. Angered by the appointment of Bhupinder Singh Hooda as the Chief Minister. By the Congress, Bhajan Lal and his younger son Kuldeep left the Congress in the year 2007. So after this, he formed his own separate party Haryana Janhit Congress. After contesting two assembly elections, Kuldeep Bishnoi again merged the party with the Congress.

He was the leader of a separate party

Although Bhajan Lal was involved in the big leaders of the Congress for a long time. So he was elected Chief Minister thrice from the Congress side. However, At the time of his death, he was the leader of a separate party HJC. At the time of Bhajanlal's death in 2011, the Congress party was in power in the state and country, after that Bhajanlal was not given due respect.

Samadhi site has been made

No institution or memorial site was built by the party. The Congress government in the name of Bhajan Lal, who did politics from Hisar for a long time. After the death of  Bhajanlal, a place for his last rites has also been bought and a samadhi site has been made. Although Kuldeep Bishnoi merged his party with the Congress after Bhajanlal's death, the Congress has not come to power since then.
