In Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists have carried out three attacks in Srinagar and Bandipora on Tuesday. The first terrorist attack was on a well-known pharmacy businessman in Kashmir. After this, terrorists opened fire on a street hawker in Madin Sahib, Srinagar. Then in the Bandipora district, a common citizen has been shot dead. At present, the police have registered a case and the areas concerned have been cordoned off. Simultaneously, searches are going on in these areas.
Strongly condemning the killing of three civilians by terrorists in Srinagar and Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that terrorists will never succeed in their nefarious designs and those responsible for such heinous acts should be brought to justice. Earlier, according to news agency ANI report, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar told that the street hawker was shot dead by terrorists near Madin Sahib in Hawal on the outskirts of Srinagar city.
At the same time, earlier in Srinagar, suspected terrorists shot dead Makhanlal Bindroo, owner of the famous pharmacy in the Iqbal Park area, in his business premises. According to media reports, the police said that the assailants shot Makhanlal Bindru from close range when he was in his pharmacy. Also, he said Bindroo was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and search is on to nab the terrorists. Bindroo, from the Kashmiri Pandit community, was among the few who did not migrate after militancy broke out in Jammu and Kashmir in the 1990s. However, he stayed here with his wife and continued to run his pharmacy Bindroo Mediket.
Let us inform you that in the last few months, terrorists have intensified attacks on Kashmiri Pandits in the valley. Terrorists have targeted Kashmiri Pandits even before Bindroo. Recently, Kashmiri Pandit Bantu Sharma was killed by terrorists in the Wan Poh village of Kulgam district. The terrorists shot Bantu Sharma from close range. The entire area has been cordoned off after the incident. A search operation is being conducted to nab the terrorists.
