Mercy Petition of Vinay Sharma, Nirbhaya’s Rape Fourth Accused is Denied by President

Ayushi Sharma

Vinay Sharma, one of the four accused in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape-murder case, has written a letter to the President requesting that the mercy petition filed on his behalf be immediately returned. Vinay claimed that neither his signature in the petition nor anyone authorized it. Facts are hidden in it. However, the Tihar Jail Administration has denied the mercy petition for not signing it.

Vinay, in a letter sent to the President through his lawyer, alleged that the jail administration had conspired with the Delhi government to send the mercy petition with malice. She said that her legal options are not over yet. The Supreme Court has not filed curative petition. So do not take any decision on this mercy petition.

Additional IG Rajkumar of Tihar said that not only was Vinay's sign on the mercy petition, but also his thumb impression. The four convicts were given 7 days to file a mercy petition. We have all the records, which will expose Vinay's lies. He will be shifted to the same jail after the black warrant is issued if the mercy petition is dismissed from the President. The jail administration will start work on his execution. Some preparations have also been started.
