Crime Branch Arrested Three Who Sold 500 Fake SIM Cards

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested the three accused who have been actively selling mobile SIM in the name of someone else. The accused have sold around 500 mobile SIM cards in this way. The accused used to sell a SIM for 800 to 1000. They used to sell the SIM card mostly to counterfeiters. The accused have been identified as Afzal (27),

a special resident of Khajuri, resident of Harsh Vihar, Devendra (44) and Gokalpuri resident Sagar Vashisht (32).

According to Crime Branch DCP Dr. G Ramgopal Nayak, retired police officer Ranbir Mukherjee from Delhi Police had complained that he got a call from a person named RP Sharma on May 30, 2018, and the accused himself called LIC agent. The accused said he would pay the policy premium every year. The accused asked for a check of 25,400 from the retired police officer. Asked for PAN card, Aadhar card, and Voter card together. Told the victim that in 45 days the account will open and the bonus will come into account. In this way, the accused had taken Rs 22 lakh from the victim. The crime branch had arrested Pankaj Gupta, Gurnam Singh, Vipin Kumar Luthra, Narendra Saini, and Ramraj Singh Parmar by registering the case. These accused told about the accused who have sold active SIM cards in the interrogation. Subsequently, Inspector Vinay Tyagi and Dinesh Kumar's team arrested the three accused who sold fake SIM cards.

In the interrogation, Afzal said that he is the agent of a mobile SIM card. The shop is in its specialty. When a customer came to him to pick a SIM card, he would scan the victim's fingerprints twice instead of once. With a finger, he activated the SIM card and gave it to the customer, while he used to activate the second SIM card with the other fingerprint. He used to give this SIM to Devender and sell it to the ocean resident. Sagar used to sell these SIM cards to the accused arrested earlier Ramraj and brother Jaipal. These sims were used for a cheat.
