Mandya: The mishap took place while the bus was going en route to Mandya.

Private bus plunge into the canal at Pandavapur near Mandya, at least 25 people died in this accident. The rest of the injured have been admitted to the hospital for their further treatment. 

According to the report, many school children also died in this mishap.

From the visual of the site, it was very clear that on the spot of the accident the local using rope and trying to pull the bus and the bodies from the water. Besides, fire and emergency personnel intensify their rescue operation.

The CM postponed all his schedule work when he received the information about this tragic incident. And at the very moment, he went out the incident place. Also, he has postponed the state award film ceremony schedule this evening.

The CM HD Kumaraswamy visit the spot where the 25 people died and expressed peace and announce the compensation of 5 lakh to the families of the deceased.

Deputy CM Dr. G Parameshwara, Directed Minister CS Puttaraju, and District Collector also expressed shock over the incident and also oversee the rescue operation.
