After the death of Unnao's daughter, who was burnt by putting kerosene on her refusal to withdraw the rape case, there is both grief and anger among the common people. In Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital, a woman kept on ventilator had burnt up to 95 percent. Expressing sorrow over the death of the rape victim, the leaders of various political parties have also expressed their grief and demanded immediate justice from the government.

The rape victim's brother has demanded death penalty to the five accused. He says that he does not want anything less than this. He is currently in Delhi. The post-mortem of the rape victim is going on. After this, his body will be brought to Unnao. The last rites will be performed here. At the same time, Priyanka Vadra has left for Unnao to meet the family of the rape victim.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Vadra has raised many questions with the state government after the death of the rape victim. She has tweeted and asked 'Why has the government not given immediate protection to the victim keeping in mind the previous incident of Unnao? What action was taken on the officer who refused to register his FIR? What is the government doing to prevent atrocities on women daily in UP?
