PM Modi Left for Brazil

PM Modi has left for Brazil to attend the BRICS conference. PM Modi will be in Brazil on 13-14 November to participate in the 11th BRICS Summit 2019. The theme of this conference is 'Economic Growth for Innovative Future'. A statement issued from the Prime Minister's Office said that Modi is attending the BRICS summit for the sixth time.

He first attended the summit in Fortaleza, Brazil in 2014. Earlier, in the midst of the political crisis that has been going on in Maharashtra for the last 19 days, Prime Minister Modi suddenly called a cabinet meeting today. His cabinet meeting, called before going to Brazil, is being described as very important from the perspective of the political situation in Maharashtra.

The Prime Minister also plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping separately. He is also going to attend the closing ceremony of the BRICS Business Forum. The Prime Minister will also participate in a meeting with the BRICS leaders of the BRICS Business Council. BRICS is a group of five emerging economies with Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
