Delhi High Court Adjourns Hearing Till 5 December in Money Laundering Case

The hearing of the anticipatory bail petition of Robert Vadra, husband of Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, was heard in the Delhi High Court today. The court has adjourned the hearing till December 5. The ED has sought to quash Vadra's anticipatory bail plea in connection with the purchase of the property with the help of money laundering in London. The court had issued notice during the hearing of the case.

Earlier, the ED had told the High Court that it was necessary to question Robert Vadra in custody. They are not cooperating in the inquiry. However, Vadra's counsel had opposed the ED's argument saying that they were cooperating in the investigation. The ED claim has no merit.

Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra is under investigation for purchasing property abroad and land in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The ED had registered a case against Manoj Arora, close to Robert Vadra, over a flat in London. The ED alleges that the flat belongs to Robert Vadra instead of Manoj Arora. The property was purchased in 2010 from arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari.
