Corona Affected Travel Industry: MakeMyTrip Fires 350 Employees

Due to Coronavirus, different industries around the world have been badly affected in which the travel industry has suffered the most.  Travel-related online services company makemytrip has fired 350 employees.  Sources said that most of the fired employees were involved in international leisure and related services.

MakeMyTrip Group Executive Chairman and Founder Deep Kalra and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rajesh Mago said in an email to employees that the round is still uncertain, but it is certain that the company will be over the long-term crisis of the covid-19 crisis.  Time will be affected.  He said, it is not yet clear when the travel will be safe after the covid-19 pandemic.

He said that in the last two months, we have analyzed its impact very closely and spent a lot of time thinking about the business.  This makes it clear that Corona has had a profound impact on some businesses and it will take too much time to recover.  When asked about this, a company spokesperson said that 350 employees were affected by the layoffs.
