Monali Gupta

American tech company Google is making changes to its search algorithm. This is actually for news search. The company has said that the original reporting will be emphasized and will also put it above the search results. For this, the company has given new instructions to more than 10 thousand human reviewers.

Through the feedback received by Human Reviewer, Google will train its algorithm which gives search ranking. Google has also released a statement regarding this change.

Google has said, 'Usually we show the latest version of the latest and news story in the news results, we have made some changes globally in our products to highlight the articles which are original. Such articles will remain on the Highly Visible Position for a long time '

However, Google has also said that at present there is neither an exact or absolute definition of the original reporting nor there is any standard so that it can be understood that it is an original article. It can be different for different newsrooms and publishers. Therefore, Google will constantly work to understand the life cycle of the story.

It is worth noting that Google keeps such news above for a long time, which has a wide coverage, especially trending, about a topic. Followup articles are also kept above. Google's blogpost has also talked about some problems. The company has said that it now says to Google Human Reviewers that based on quality reports, keep them high in the news.
