Telangana: Country's Biggest Online Sex Racket Busted, Over 14000 Victims Rescued

Online Sex Racket: The country's biggest online sex racket has been busted in Telangana. Cyberabad's Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) has rescued 14190 victims.

According to the sources, Telangana Police had registered 39 cases in this matter. 17 accused related to online sex racket have been arrested.

The accused have been booked under IPC section 370 (buying or disposing of a person as a slave) and sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act at four police stations in Cyberabad.

Trafficking of more than 14 thousand girls

Anti-Human Trafficking Unit has made a big disclosure in the online sex racket case. Police said businessmen running the sex racket have trafficked over 14,000 girls from various states in India and some from abroad in the last three years.

The surprising thing is that the accused involved in the sex racket were also involved in the drug trade on a large scale.

Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra in a conversation with media said that the Special Operation Team along with the AHTU arrested the businessmen associated with this racket.

According to the information received so far, the girls being used in the racket are from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.

According to police officials, girls from Uzbekistan, Russia, Nepal and Thailand were also being forced into prostitution.
