Former Indian captain and currently the mentor for Delhi Capitals, Sourav Ganguly has said that the turnaround in the fortunes of Delhi this season has been because of the trust shown in the players by the management even when things were not working out for them.

Ganguly quoted saying "there is no such word called inexperience in this team. We have the right mix of youth and experience. It is also a huge boost to get an experienced player like Shikhar coming out and batting with so much confidence. His form was very crucial for the Capitals."

He also said  there is the perfect mix of youth and experience in the squad which has worked out perfectly for the side.

After the early jitters, Delhi Capitals found their groove and strung together a number of impressive performances which according to Ganguly has been possible because the management gave the required confidence to the players and stuck with them.

In an interview Ganguly said "It's not only the batsmen who are making it count. The bowlers are doing excellent work. Rabada has been outstanding, so too the other fast bowlers. Axar Patel too has contributed in all departments."
