PCB Announces Squad for T20 Series against Bangladesh

On Thursday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced 16-man squad for the three match T20 series to be played against Bangladesh this month. The 7 players who played in the T20 series against Australia have been dropped from the team.  Chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq announced the names of the 16-man squad for the series. Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik return to the team for this series.

In this team, bowler Haris Rauf has been included in the squad. At the same time big players like Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Amir have been excluded. Recently, Amir had said to retire from Test cricket and concentrate on limited overs cricket from Pakistan.

Bangladesh team has agreed to play three T20s, two Tests and a one-day match with Pakistan. This match is proposed to be played in three different months. These matches will be played between January and April. Three T20 matches will be played in Lahore from 24 to 27 January.

Babar Azam (captain), Ahsan Ali, Amad Butt, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Musa Khan, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Usman Qadir.
