As indicated by reports, Peng Soon Chen and Iom Hee-Won gave Bangalore a splendid beginning by defeating Dhruv Kapila and Jessica Pugh (trump match) 15-7,15-8 in doubles.
In the fourth match, Tai Tui Ying of Bangalore vanquished Gayatri Gopichand 13-15,15-6,15-6 to make the score 3-3. In the unequivocal match, the pair of Satvisairaj Rankireddy and Dhruv Kapila crushed Chennai and Chen Agung Saputro 13-15,15-9,15-9 in the men's doubles to give Chennai triumph.
