Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who was undergoing rehabilitation following a back injury, will practice with the Indian team at the nets before the second ODI against the West Indies. Bumrah has been out of the team since the start of the home series against South Africa due to a fracture. However, he is on the way to recovery now. The team management hopes for him to be fit before the New Zealand tour next year.

The second ODI against the West Indies will be played on December 18 in Visakhapatnam. A BCCI source said, 'Bumrah will practice with the Indian team.  The team management also tested Bhuvneshwar Kumar's fitness ahead of the Test against Bangladesh in Indore, although he was not part of the team. Similarly, Bumrah's fitness will be tried."

"Now it has become a tradition that when a player is seen fit, the team management, physio and trainers test them in net practice," the source said. Bumrah and Hardik Pandya play for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL and are undergoing rehabilitation at the BKC ground in Mumbai. There is also a possibility that Bumrah will be sent to New Zealand with the India A team so that he can get practice.
