Bangladesh’s Liton Das Created History, ODI Cricket’s very Special Record

BAN Vs ZIM: Bangladesh batsman Liton Das has become the highest run-scorer in an innings for the country in ODI cricket. Liton Das has achieved this position by breaking the record of his fellow batsman Tamim Iqbal. The special thing is that Tamim Iqbal had done this record three days ago.

Liton scored 176 off 143 balls in the third ODI against Zimbabwe at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Friday. His innings included 16 fours and eight sixes. Liton also made a huge partnership of 192 runs for the first wicket with Tamim. Tamim scored an unbeaten 128 runs in this innings. This is his second consecutive century.

Tamim scored 158 runs in 136 balls in the second ODI. Liton broke this record after three days. With this, Liton became the second batsman to cross the 150 marks for Bangladesh in ODIs.

Thanks to centuries by Liton Das and Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh defeated Zimbabwe by 123 runs in the third and final ODI of the series through Duckworth Lewis Rules. Bangladesh challenged Zimbabwe by 342 runs in the rain-affected match. In response, Zimbabwe's team was all out for 218 runs. Bangladesh had already defeated Zimbabwe by 169 runs in the first ODI and 4 runs in the second ODI.
