Punjabi Chana Masala: Try Restaurant-Style Recipe at Home

Chana masala is a famous dish of Punjab. It is also called Punjabi Chole or Punjabi Chana Masala. It is very easy to make at home.

 Total Time: 50 minutes

Servings: 3 people

Ingredients:

100 gm Kabuli gram

2 onions

3 tomatoes

1 piece ginger

6-7 garlic

4 cloves

1 piece cinnamon

2 cardamom

1 tsp cumin seeds

2 tsp coriander

1 tsp garam masala

1 tsp chilli

4 green chillies

2 tsp oil

Salt to taste

How to make Chana Masala Recipe:

1. To make chana masala, first take the gram and soak it in water one night before making one.

2. The next day clean the soaked gram with water. Now put them in the cooker as well as add water as required, add a little salt and keep it on the gas to boil.

3. Now finely chop the onion, tomato, ginger and garlic and grind them well in the grinder. So that a paste is formed.

4. After doing this, take the cauldron and keep it on the gas. Now put some oil in it, when the oil is hot, add little cumin seeds, add bay leaves, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, etc. and fry it well.

5. Now add the onion-tomato mixture to this mixture. Mix well and leave it to cook for a while. When the oil starts separating and the masala is cooked then add boiled gram and water, salt and chilli.

6. After doing so, leave the gram on the gas to cook. After a while, your chana masala is ready.
