Jamia Firing: Police will go for the Bone Test of Accused to Confirm that the Guy was Minor or Not

The Delhi Police has decided to conduct a bone test to check the age of the accused who fired pistols and fired at the protesters marching against the CAA. The crime branch has applied for the ossification test of the accused to ascertain whether he is in fact a minor. Earlier, a Delhi court sent the accused to a protective custody for 14 days.

Thursday, the accused not only waved kattas but also fired on the protesters who were marching from Jamia to Rajghat against the CAA. In this, Shadab, a student studying journalism from Jamia, got injured. He has a bullet in his left hand.

The accused was also shouting 'Ye lo azadi' before firing. Hours earlier, he had posted several such posts on Facebook which indicated his dangerous intentions. His Facebook post looked like he was on a suicide mission. However, Facebook later deleted her account. After the firing, the police took control of the accused. The accused is a student of XI and according to the document he is a minor.
