On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announces the formation of a trust for the construction of Ram Mandir during the session in the Lok Sabha. Now, the cabinet of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also approved the proposal of giving five acres of land to the Sunni Waqf Board. The Sunni Waqf Board has been allotted five acres of land in village Dhannipur located near Raunahi under the Supreme Court's decision.

The land is 200 meters behind the station Rounahi, 18 km from the district headquarters on the Lucknow-Ayodhya highway, while it is about 25 km from the Ramlala birthplace. There is a Muslim population around this land falling in Sohawal tehsil. The Sunni Waqf Board will be free to develop the mosque and its associated facilities on this land.

The Uttar Pradesh government had selected three places to give five acres of land in Ayodhya to the Sunni Waqf Board. All three options were sent to the central government for consent. After getting consent from the Center, the Yogi Cabinet on Wednesday stamped the land of Rounahi. The state government is considering this land as suitable from every point of view. It is also considered as a suitable place for traffic, from the road, public facilities, communal harmony and law, and order.

In fact, the Supreme Court had decided to allot five acres of land to the Sunni Waqf Board in the Ayodhya case on November 9. It states that out of the land acquired by the Central Government under the Ayodhya Act 1993 (excluding the disputed land of 1500 square yards) or land should be provided by the State Government at the famous place of Ayodhya. A time limit of three months was given for this. This deadline is being met on February 9. Even before this, the Yogi government approved the proposal to allot five acres of land to the Sunni Waqf Board.
