Shivani Alakh

Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid has given a big statement about the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi. He said that the future of the party has fallen into darkness due to our leader Rahul Gandhi leaving the post of president. In the condition of the Congress, it cannot decide its future. Speaking to a news agency, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid said that our biggest problem is that our leader Rahul Gandhi has left us.

Khurshid said that Rahul Gandhi's leaving the post of Congress President after the Lok Sabha elections was a big shock for all of us. A vacuum has arisen after Rahul's resignation. This crisis and crisis appears when Sonia Gandhi is temporarily taking over in his place. Our leaders are constantly leaving the party. At present, the party has reached such a level that it cannot decide its future.

The former foreign minister Salman Khurshid said that I did not want Rahul to resign. I believe that all the party workers also had the same desire to remain in the party and lead it. Sonia Gandhi is temporarily taking over the reins of the party in her place but she is in the form of a temporary arrangement. I am not happy with the temporary arrangement of the party chief. In fact, we should have unitedly reviewed the reasons for the party's defeat.

Khurshid also said that the party still has loyalty on Rahul. However, this is the first time a senior Congress leader has used the term 'quit' for Rahul Gandhi's resignation. Let me tell you that out of 542 seats in the last Lok Sabha elections, the Congress was able to win only 52 seats, while the BJP led by Prime Minister Modi had a historic victory in 303 seats as compared to 282 seats in 2014.
