Congress Disappointed Over Not Getting Permission for Protest March Against Chinmayananda

Shivani Alakh

Congress leaders were preparing to gather in Shahjahanpur to take a march from Shahjahanpur to Lucknow for the justice of the students, but the Shahjahanpur district and Police administration stopped them. Symbolically the elder leaders were detained while the Congress leaders who were trying to get into the city on the border were returned.

On not getting permission to protest march against Chinmayanand, Congress lashed out at the Yogi Adityanath government of the state. The Congress said that efforts are being made to make Uttar Pradesh also Kashmir. No one is allowed to speak against the government here.

When Congress leaders were not allowed to carry out protest marches from Shahjahanpur to Lucknow against Chinmayanand, former Union Minister Jitin Prasad said that this dictatorial attitude of the Uttar Pradesh government is beyond comprehension. Jitin Prasad said that the state government is trying to suppress his constitutional right. He said that even though it is Uttar Pradesh, he is not getting permission to take out the office of justice here. They probably do not know that it is Uttar Pradesh, not Kashmir. The district administration deployed a police force outside Jitin Prasad's house in Shahjahanpur. Jitin Prasad said that he has been placed under house arrest and a police force has been deployed outside his house. Jitin Prasad has also posted a video from his home on Twitter. Police and PACs have also been deployed outside the Congress office.
