When a 16-Year-Old Rajkummar Rao Got Rejected in ‘Boogie Woogie’ Auditions

RajKummar Rao's name needs no introduction and neither his struggle to fame. At a recent dance reality show, Rajkummar revealed that how before becoming an actor he wanted to become a dancer.

It so happened that Rajkummar along with the cast of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga visited the sets of the dance reality show Super Dancer Chapter 3. The actor seeing all the dance performances became nostalgic and reminisced his struggling days as a dancer.

Rajkummar said, "I was in the tenth standard when I came to Mumbai from Gurgaon for the first time, I always wanted to be a dancer and came here for the auditions of Boogie Woogie where I got rejected. I was sixteen years old when I came here. I was very disheartened by that rejection then but today I am so glad that I got rejected. It got me to a better career that I am in today."

On the work front, Rajkummar Rao is getting applauded for his character Sahil Mirza from the film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga which based on same-sex love story. Rajkummar will be next seen in films like Mental Hai Kya and Made in China. On one hand where Mental Hai Kya starring Kangana Ranaut is a black comedy, Made in China is a comedy film where Rao plays the role of Raghu, a Gujarati businessman.
