Cannes 2023: Radiating sheer elegance and allure, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a grand entrance on the revered red carpet of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2023.

Bedecked in a resplendent hooded gown created by the renowned fashion house Sophie Couture, the actress exuded an extravagant display of sartorial opulence, captivating the audience with her breathtaking ensemble.

Aishwarya Rai, known for her elegance and ageless beauty, dared to venture outside of her comfort zone with an astonishing attire. She wore a stunning black gown with a massive silver hood that flowed into a beautiful train.

She strolled the red carpet in a stunning Sophie Couture gown with crystals and metal accents, with a huge hood and an equally large black bow around the waist.

Dark red lips, cat eyeliners, and sculpted cheeks completed Aishwarya's appearance. Her image was complemented by her open, pin-straight hair and French manicure.

21 years of Cannes for Aishwarya

This is Aishwarya's 21st year at Cannes, and she appears to have walked the red carpet for Devdas only a few years ago.

While Aishwarya Rai is undoubtedly the most well-known Indian ambassador at Cannes, there were some new faces this year.

The beauty queen was previously photographed in a sequin green gown with a cape silhouette on the French Riviera. The actress chose a Valentino creation for media engagements during the ongoing international film festival.

Her glistening green gown, also swathed in sequin, was most likely a foreshadowing of her next oh-so-dazzling red carpet look.

Debut for so many actresses at Cannes this year

Early Wednesday morning, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya were seen departing from Mumbai airport. Prior to entering the airport, Aishwarya graciously posed for photographs with her fans.

While most Indian celebrities attending the Cannes Film Festival this year are making their debut, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stands out as an experienced veteran.

The list of Indian newcomers includes Anushka Sharma, Sara Ali Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Mrunal Thakur, Sunny Leone, Esha Gupta, and Manushi Chhillar.

Aishwarya was last seen in the critically praised Ponniyin Selvan 2, the culmination of Mani Ratnam's two-part epic drama about the Chola kingdom.
