Former Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid’s Wife’s Anticipatory Bail Rejected

The case of misusing government money by using a code written on the former MLA is going on in the court. In 2017, a case of forgery was registered in his Bazaar police station. On Tuesday, Upper District Judge Nirbhay Narayan Rai rejected the anticipatory bail of former MLA Louise Khurshid and colleague Athar Farooqui, wife of senior Congress leader and former foreign minister Salman Khurshid.

Police found in the investigation that former MLA Louise Khurshid and associate Athar Farooqui embezzled Rs 71.50 lakh in the name of giving equipment and goods to the Divyang. The entire game is named after Dr. Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust of Farrukhabad.

Both the accused in the case filed an application seeking interim bail. The prosecution opposed the bail by assistant district government advocate Ishwar Chandra Dubey. It was described as a very serious crime. The judge canceled the anticipatory bail application considering the seriousness of the case.
